When I was dealing with bulimia on a regular basis,   I didn’t really understand the number of different possible side effects I could  be facing, even after recovering.   I have another new hole in my mouth.  That makes a total of five teeth that have basically fallen out of my mouth in pieces.  It’s not that I”m really that old!…I have recently discovered that many years of struggling with bulimia likely destroyed the enamel on several of my teeth.  This website explains some of the possible effects of the struggle with bulimia,  and ways to help minimize them while working on recovering.

The holidays can be a wonderful time  but sometimes people get a little down on themselves, whether it’s family issues or just too much food around.   I found a new site that has some good advice on how to feel better about yourself.  It’s designed for teens but appropriate to younger readers as well.

One thing I have learned personally over the years is that,  instead of trying some crash diet to get rid of holiday chocolate,  simply getting back to my regular eating and exercise routine makes me feel like myself again.

I came across this vidoe on youtube.  It’s real teens talking about real issues.  I found the guys particularly interesting to listen to.  It reminded me that body image issues hit everyone, both male and female.
